I love creativity and creative people and when I’m not batiking or teaching, I’m probably experimenting with something new!

I love creativity and creative people and when I’m not batiking or teaching, I’m probably experimenting with something new!

I am a batik artist who has been fascinated with the process and the medium for over 20 years now. I have been lucky enough to travel widely and live in many culturally diverse places and I love to use inspiration from places I have been in my work. I mostly make batik scarves and paintings on cotton or silk.

Batik is a wax resist process, where layers of hot wax and dyes are built up from the lightest colour first to create the design.

I am also a part time Art Teacher at Kings College School in Cambridge.
