My inspiration comes from lots of sources including the natural landscape, the history of the chair, a painting I like, maybe a birthday card.
Ella Jenkins Designs is a bespoke designer upholstery business.
From my little workshop near Stamford, Lincolnshire I create unique and bespoke pieces of furniture. I love to work with antique and vintage chairs and, wherever possible, recycle, reuse and reconstruct to give each piece a new lease of life and to transform it into something that will be treasured and passed on to the next generation.
Using a variety of textile techniques and gorgeous fabrics, I often take my inspiration from the surrounding countryside. Each chair is individually designed, meticulously crafted and lovingly restored to create something rather lovely, yet with enough quirk and character to be truly distinctive.
