Cambridgeshire based Textile Artist
Emma is participating in ESC Artists Stamford Arts Centre Autumn Exhibition in the Gallery, 25 October – 5 November, and Artists Markets in the Ballroom on 11 June & 5 November 2017.
Born and raised in Australia, I’ve spent a lot of time travelling all over the world. The different cultures and scenery seen along the way are sources of inspiration for a lot of the work I produce, the natural environment in particular.
I like people to see what they want in my work, to leave them guessing and hopefully to make them feel a little brighter.
I studied Woven Textiles at University which totally transformed the way I work. I now look at nature with an eye for detail, pattern and colour. I love to paint in the abstract and draw with detail, and to work with a variety of media . The pieces I produce are varied, due to the weaving process, but colour and composition are the focus in everything I produce.

I exhibited at New Designers and Bradford Textile Society in 2012. I’ve been travelling for the past few years, but more recently I’ve exhibited at Nottingham City Arts and I was part of PAOS last summer.
