Artist Charron Pugsley-Hill has been commissioned by Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough to create an installation to commemorate the battle of the Somme in 1916.
Artisan felter Eve Marshall is working with Charron on this project and has been teaching a series of workshops at Westgate Arcade. It is is great to know that one of Eve’s Poppy workshops is now coming to Stamford too.

131 men from Peterborough, then a small town, died at the Somme. One hundred years on Charron is looking for 1000 volunteers to make felted poppies for the installation. Full training will be given by Eve Marshall and the workshop is suitable for ages 5-95.
