As a child I made a lot of jewellery with beads. As a teenager I lost interest and then in 2007 I revived my passion but started working with silver.
My designs are all unique one-off pieces – there is not one specific thing that inspires me – my designs just spring from my mind.
I completed a one day course to make a ring and I was hooked! Next I went to an evening school once a week but this wasn’t for me. I needed a teacher who could show me how to achieve the designs that were bursting out of my mind, not to suppress them. I then decided to set up my own workshop but space is an issue so I have set up in a built in Wardrobe!!!
As and when I wanted to learn more about specific projects I went to week-end schools at a leading jeweller and silversmith – then I completed an eight week evening class to create a stacker ring for my Mum’s 60th birthday.
I hope you share my passion for distinctive designs in silver.
